Although many members of The Grateful Dead had been active over the years with various offshoot groups, the 2003 tour was the first to officially fall under “The Dead” banner since the passing of Jerry Garcia. That summer, they reunited with prior collaborator Bob Dylan for a 10-city co-headline tour that included a Chicago-area stop at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet. The night prior to the show, a severe thunderstorm collapsed the stage, putting the show in peril. Miraculously, the crew was able to re-assemble the stage the next day, and the bands gave what many say was an impassioned performance and one of the highlights of the entire tour.

A tremendous memento from the memorable date, offered here is an original 17" x 25" concert poster from the event, beautifully hand signed in black felt tip marker by Bob Dylan and The Dead lineup, including Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Jeff Chimenti, Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco and Joan Osborne. Obtained direct by an industry executive from the venue and in overall excellent condition. This may be the only signed example of this poster in existence, as Dylan's reputation for being a reluctant signer definitely precedes him! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from music autograph authority Roger Epperson/REAL Authentication.
