Fantastic stage-used and signed white piano bench, personally used by Elton John for his ’76 “Louder than Concorde” tour, autographed by both Elton and Bernie Taupin. Elton broke the bench during his noteworthy stage antics and gave it to a front row fan there that was in a full body cast. During that July 14, 1976 Charlotte Coliseum event, Bernie Taupin kindly told the wheelchair-bound fan to wait after the concert and Elton and he signed the white bench for him after the show.

Impressive, professional-grade piece of stage equipment befitting the legendary “Rocket Man,” the bench weighs nearly 30 pounds, and measures 22” x 16” and 8” deep. Autographed in permanent marker by both John and Taupin: “To Patrick Best Wishes and Much Love Bernie Taupin,” and To Patrick, with Love, Elton John.” Accompanied a detailed letter of provenance, picture of Elton on stage with the bench, the original ticket stub and “Louder than Concorde” program, as well as LOA from Beckett/BAS for the autographs. In very good to fine condition, with fading to the autographs and expected wear from stage-use and eventual breakage, including complete separation from the legs (no longer present) which only adds to the over authenticity and extent of Elton’s raucous stage manner. An impeccable stage-used piece with photo ID, engaging fan story, and autographs as well—a must-have for any Elton John fan.
