Gorgeous vintage original 20” x 23.75” black and white gelatin silver Andre de Dienes photo of Marilyn Monroe playfully grinning with arms outstretched on Tobay Beach, 1949. Printed later by the photographer, and with his stamp present on verso. In fine condition. Provenance: Julien’s Auction. These lighthearted, playful “Tobay Beach” images were captured on Long Island, NY, a mere week after her iconic “nude” Playboy photos–and serve as such a beautiful contrast—showing here a wholesome and carefree Marilyn.
