Pendants similar to this one are very rare but were handed out as commemorative items shortly after the 1963 March on Washington. Although the most common version is a circular gold-toned pendant in which the inset middle portion spins, a number of these pendants were produced in different styles. This particular pendant is larger and more elaborate than most of the other known styles, but uses an identical photograph of King as well as the same text on the reverse. Accompanied by paperwork from University Archives.
