Civil War-era patriotic red, white, and blue piece of flag fragment, .75” x .75.” originating from a flag of the USS Hartford, commanded by David Farragut. Provenance states: “Flag taken during December 1861 while being fitted for the New Orleans campaign.” Nicely presented in a locket, 1.25” x 1.25,” with gold-colored frame. Accompanied by a copy of a University Archives COA and a copy of the original listing for the larger flag from which this artifact was produced.
