National Westminster Bank Limited check, 7.75” x 3.5,” dated July 4, 1972, and signed in green ballpoint pen by George Harrison. Check has been filled out in another hand and made payable to “Apple Corps Ltd Payroll” for “10,180.14” pounds. In fine condition. Nicely archivally matted and framed with an attractive black and white oversized photo of the Beatles performing, to an overall size of 29” x 28.5.”

Though the Beatles themselves infamously broke up as a band in April 1970, their joint business venture, Apple Ltd., continued on as evidenced by this check written two years later, in 1972, by Harrison. Interestingly, Apple Ltd. still lives on with ownership continuing to reside with McCartney, Starr, and the Harrison and Lennon Estates—a nice Fab Four momento, capturing a post-breakup moment in the band’s history and boasting an impeccable Harrison autograph.
