Ty Cobb, known for being a bit prickly, has signed the inside page of the book with an interesting, if not troubling, inscription: "Mr. Holden: Note Author's preface, remember the southerner likes a negro, not the negro. Hope you enjoy this book. Ty Cobb". Cobb penned all of this in flowing blue ink with a terrific autograph. A one-of-a-kind item from the Georgia Peach, this is an intriguing insight into Cobb's views and an interesting item to come on the market in the current time.
