Actor (1914–1959) best remembered for his role as Superman in the popular 1950s television series. He was fatally shot under mysterious circumstances at the age of 45; whether his death was a suicide or a homicide remains one of the great unsolved mysteries of Hollywood lore. His death is the subject of the 2006 film Hollywoodland. Early vintage glossy 10" x 8" Warner Bros. promotional photo for Father Is a Prince, signed in blue ink, “George Reeves.” In fine condition, with red ink notation to bottom border, pencil notation to top border above Reeves’s image, and a few scattered light creases.
