Offered here is a 17" x 21" original RIAA Certified Sales Award issued to Warren & Verna Griffin for the sale of 500,000 copies of Dr Dre's hit single from the "Friday" soundtrack, "Keep Their Heads Ringing". This particular award was issued to Dr. Dre's mother, Verna, and his step father, Warren Griffin. If the name Warren Griffin sounds familiar, it is, as Warren Griffin Sr. is the father of hip hop legend Warren G, whose real name is Warren Griffin Jr. (Yes--Warren G is indeed Dr Dre's step brother!). The award is in overall fine condition with some minor scuffing to the frame and features a Ill-Eagle Enterprises label on the reverse. A unique piece of Hip-Hop history with incredible association!
