Original New York Yankees lineup card used by the Yankees from their game played against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field, Seattle on May 27, 2011. The card is filled out with the line-ups for both the Yankees and the Mariners with notations made for pitching changes and player substitutions. Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is batting in the lead off position and would establish several personal and team milestones during the 2011 season. Playing in Seattle on the following day (May 28) Jeter broke Rickey Henderson’s franchise record for stolen bases when he stole his 327th base. In July, Jeter recorded his 3000th career hit; the only 3,000 hit player to record all of his hits as a Yankee and the only player to join this elite group as a Yankee. Later in the year Jeter played in his 2,402nd game with the Yankees, breaking Mickey Mantle’s record for most games played as a Yankee. The 8.5” X 14” lineup card is authenticated with a holographic sticker applied by Major League Baseball with a matching record maintained on their website.
