Brilliant typed letter signed on one page of 7.25” x 10.5” “Walt Disney” letterhead dated March 4, 1940, and signed at the conclusion in incredibly bold black fountain pen, “Walt Disney.” Letter addressed “To Whom it May Concern, reads in full: “Mr. Robert Neuschotz was employed on a contractual basis to do research work in our Special Effects Department. While in this capacity, he was of great assistance in devising and developing devices which have proven to be of value to this organization. In addition to being a fine workman, he has a personality which enables him to work with others successfully. He is leaving our employ because the work for which he was hired has been completed. I do not hesitate to recommend Mr. Neuschotz in the field for which he is qualified.” In fine condition, with toned prior adhesive evidence to reverse of top edge, affecting nothing, especially not the pristine autograph. Accompanied by a COA from noted Disney expert Phil Sears. Authenticated and encapsulated, to an overall size of 9.5” x 13”by PSA/DNA.

Just over a week prior to penning this letter, Disney experienced some of his earliest film success, with the release of his second animated feature, “Pinocchio,” on February 23, 1940. It speaks highly to the character of Disney that during this busy period in his career he would take the time to write such a detailed and well-thought-out letter praising his employee. Perfectly encapsulated by PSA and boasting one of THE BOLDEST and well-defined Disney autographs we’ve ever encountered—this is letter is a superb Disney offering.
