An extremely scarce and sought-after original lineup of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is offered in this lot. Founding guitarist Hillel Slovak, who made his studio album debut on Freaky Styley, succumbed to a heroin addiction at the age of only 26 years old. Offered here is the album cover for the 1985 release (vinyl not included), signed by all four original members of the rock band. Signatures and inscriptions include Anthony Kiedis ("Joyce - Only eat top choice"), Flea ("Joyce, Funk is a many splendored thing"), Hillel Slovak ("Joyce - Rejoice"), and Cliff Martinez ("Joyce - Keep your pants down). Signed and inscribed in ballpoint pen around the off-white edges of the album cover. In overall fine condition with a "Property of Capitol Records" stamp and one diagonal scratch to the top right corner. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
