Although we have offered several signed George Burke photos over the years, this lot is the cream of the crop! Offered here is a simply gorgeous original George Burke 8" x 10" photograph of New York Giants teammates Mel Ott, Carl Hubbell, and Jimmy Ripple. Teammates from 1936-1939, the three legends helped lead the franchise to consecutive fall classics in 1936 and 1937. All three players have signed the photograph in felt tip pen inks. Mel Ott's autograph is always particularly desirable, as this 500 home run hitter sadly died in a car accident in 1958 at the age of only 49 (Jimmy Ripple would die the following year). The autographs are all neatly executived on the players' respective images. A superb signed Burke photo to be marveled at! The verso is stamped Geo. Burk, 847 Belmont Ave., Chicago. The photo itself is in overall fine condition, with some toning and handling wear around the edges. Accomapnied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
