The Shot Heard Around the World: Thompson & Branca Signed Photo, Matted & Framed (JSA)

In baseball, the "Shot Heard 'Round the World" was a game-winning home run by NY Giants outfielder and third baseman Bobby Thomson off of the Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Ralph Branca in New York City on 10/3/1951, to win the NL pennant. Thomson's dramatic three-run homer came in the ninth inning of the decisive third game of a three-game playoff for the pennant in which the Giants trailed, 4–1 entering the ninth, and 4–2 with two runners on base at the time of Thomson's at-bat.

Offered here is a photo of the moment, signed in blue sharpie by both Bobby Thompson and Ralph Branca and nicely matted & framed to an overall size of 19" x 31". Overall in fine condition and is authenticated by JSA with a COA.
