Lot of (2) softcover books personally owned and annotated by Pink Floyd’s Syd Barrett: “The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art and Artists,” and “The Penguin Dictionary of Archaeology,” both approximately 7.75" x 5.25." Each originates from Syd Barrett's personal library, and both are individually hand-covered by Syd. Archaeology is signed and dated "RB 1998" with some pencil annotations to the rear (believed to be Syd "marking-off" which books he has). Art and Artists has the date "Thurs 2 March '06" penned to second page. Comes with a copy of the Cheffins COA, the company who liquidated Barrett’s estate. In very good condition, with expected wear from use. Interesting personally owned pieces from the reclusive Floyd co-founder, with the 2006 dated book likely being one of the latest in life Barrett pieces to come to market as he passed away in July of 2006.
