American artist, comics artist and illustrator. He worked in media ranging from fine art painting to cartooning, but is best remembered for his political posters, particularly his 1917 poster of Uncle Sam created for United States Army recruitment during World War I. Offered here is a 6" x 8" custom sheet showcasing a cut signature from Flagg in red grease pencil, with an image of his famed "I Want You" Uncle Sam poster displayed above the autograph. In fine condition. Accompanied by a COA from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
