Interesting typed letter signed as President, White House letterhead, March 7, 1996. President Clinton writes a brief note of well wishes to legendary actor Paul Newman, who had apparently been in a car accident prior. In part: "Sorry to hear about your accident--I'm glad your hand fared better than your Volvo. I know how much you like driving fast cars, but try to save those tight turns for the race track!" Signed in full at the conclusion in black ink, "Bill Clinton."

A supporter of the Clintons, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward forged a friendship with The Clintons through their time in the White House.

A great letter with terrific association to Newman's racing passion. In excellent condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
