Offered here is an 8" x 10.5" Letter, dated August 23rd, 1882, has been signed at the conclusion by Grover Cleveland. The letter came from the New York Mayor's office and discusses the first meeting of a committee for which Cleveland was chairman. This committee was set up to organize the 4th of July and Semi-Centennial Celebration at the Mayor's house. Just a few months later Cleveland would be elected governor of New York and would serve at that post until assuming presidency in 1885. This letter has some minor creasing and soiling to the surface but the autograph remains bold. The letter has been framed to overall dimensions of approximately 14.5" x 17.5". Accompanied by a Auction House Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA. Full certification can be arranged for an additional fee. Contact us at Info@IconicAuctions.com for further information.
