The top 4" x 13" document, dated January 7th, 1771, has been signed by Arthur "Ar." St Clair as Pennsylvania justice, and James Wilson, a Pennsylvanian layer at the time. Wilson's autograph is on the reverse side of the document and is not visible due to framing. James Wilson would go on to sign the Declaration of Independence while Arthur St Clair would become a Revolutionary War general, the president of the Continental Congress, and first ever Governor of the Northwest Territory. This document is a warrant in the name of George the Third, to the Sheriff of Westmoreland County to Seize Abraham Kuykendall, who has an unpaid debt to John Hart. The document has generalized toning with splitting fold lines that have been reinforced with tape/ The embossed seal is still visible and inact, signatures remain bold.

The bottom 1.25" x 6.25" document has been cut from a larger document dated August 28th, 1769 and personally signed by Robert Treat Paine, another signer of the Declaration of Independence and First Attorney General of Massachusetts. This document has minor creasing to the edges and scattered toning but remains in fine condition.
