An impossibly rare 1976 Knebworth Fair program fully-signed by all 10 Lynyrd Skynyrd bandmembers, including: Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins (adding ‘God Bless you’), Gary Rossington, Steve Gaines (adding ‘thanks’), Leon Wilkeson, Billy Powell (adding ‘thanks’), Leslie Hawkins, JoJo Billingsley (signing as Deborah Jo Billingsley, and adding ‘love to you’), Cassie Gaines (adding ‘thanks’), and Artimus Pyle. All 10 have signed by their respective images in blue ballpoint pen. To date, this is the only fully-signed example of this historic program that we have encountered. The autographs were obtained on August 21, 1976, the day of the performance, by Lynyrd Skynyrd’s personal caterer at Knebworth.
On a warm summer afternoon in 1976, Lynyrd Skynyrd took the stage at Knebworth Park in England as part of a daylong festival. With Ronnie Van Zant on vocals and the Rossington/Collins/Gaines triple-guitar attack, Lynyrd Skynyrd delivered a blistering performance in front of a crowd estimated between 150,000-200,000. Widely considered as one of the band's greatest live performances, their entire set was filmed and subsequently released as, ‘Live at Knebworth ‘76’. Just 14 months after this performance, legendary frontman Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, and his sister, the 'Honkette' backup signer Cassie Gaines, were tragically killed in the 1977 plane crash that caused the first iteration of Lynyrd Skynyrd to disband. A supremely rare Skynyrd piece, capturing all beloved members of the classic 10-person lineup. The program measures 8.25 inches x 11.75 inches, and is in fine condition.
