On July 11, 1985, at the Donald Trump Casino Hotel in Atlantic City NJ, was one of the nastiest KO's in young Iron Mike Tyson's career! Opponent John Alderson likely had no clue that he was entering the ring with one of the fiercest fighters in the world. Still only a teenager, Tyson had won all his previous fights by KO's.

As the 6-Round match began, Alderson soon realized the ferociousness of the teenage Tyson and why he was nicknamed "Iron Mike." Despite Alderman's obvious height and weight advantages at 6'4" 236 lbs, Tyson had him on the defensive from the opening round of the bout. Round 2 was no better for Alderman, as Tyson’s devastating right hand caused Alderson to lose both his mouth piece and stability.

Tyson knocked Alderson down twice, draining his opponent's confidence and enthusiasm, while hindering his attempts to rise after the second KO. As soon as the bell was about to ring to mark the end of the round, Alderson succumbed to a ruthless Tyson right hook. Disoriented and unaware, Alderman made no protest as the fight was mercifully waved off by his corner.

Offered here is an original 8" x 10" Type II Boxing Photo of that bout that took place on 7/11/85 at Trump Plaza vs John Alderman, personally signed by Mike Tyson in silver felt tip marker.
