Signed letter, one page, 7" x 9", personal letterhead, November 8, 1961. Hoover, responding to a previous letter received, possibly about the escalation in the Cold War, writes in part, "I can well agree with you as to the crisis we face. There is encouragement that the American people have met great crises in the past and found their solution." Signed at the conclusion in black ink. Some bleeding to the autograph due to prior water exposure to the letter, otherwise fine. Matted along with an engraving of Hoover to an overall size of 18" x 15.25".
