Credited for being the first drafter of the Declaration of Independence, he served as a vice-president, secretary of state, minister of France and of course the third President Of The United States of America. As President, Jefferson would negotiate the purchase of the Louisiana Territory, support the Lewis & Clark expansion/expedition among issuing this Military appointment during his time in Washington. Offered here is a tremendous 2" x 3" cut boldly signed & dated "Dec. 14, 1790" by Thomas Jefferson during his time as Secretary of State. Overall in fine condition with minor handling wear. The autograph is superb and has been authenticated, encapsulated, and graded MINT 9 (the highest grade for a Jefferson signature we have ever offered!) by PSA/DNA. Further professionally framed to 14.5" x 21" alongside an 8" x 10" Photo of Jefferson.
