Studio-used drumsticks from the iconic drummer, used during the creation of legendary Zeppelin tracks such as “Achilles Last Stand” and “Nobody’s Fault But Mine”

The first set of documented Bonham studio-used drumsticks that we’ve encountered!

Here is an impossibly rare set of custom-made drumsticks used by John Bonham in November 1975 during the Led Zeppelin ‘Presence’ album recording sessions at Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany. The prime hickory drumsticks have ‘John Bonham’ embossed on each stick along with ‘Hickory.’ The drumsticks come from the collection of Jeff Ocheltree, Bonham’s American drum technician. Ocheltree obtained the drumsticks during a 1975 ‘Presence’ studio session. Comes with a detailed letter of provenance that reads, ‘This letter is to authenticate one pair (2 units) of genuine John Bonham drumsticks obtained from Mr. Jeff Ocheltree. This pair was taken from John Bonham’s stick bag at the Musicland Studios, Munich Germany, while rehearsing or recording of Led Zeppelin’s 1976 album ‘Presence’ according to Ocheltree.’ Made by Led Zeppelin drum builder Eddie Ryan, the custom 5B Prime Hickory drumsticks measure 15.95 inches long x .59 inches in diameter.

The sticks show significant wear, as Bonham used them on multiple occasions. Authentic Bonham studio-used drumsticks are remarkably rare, and this is an outstanding set with impeccable provenance.

Along with the Letter of Provenance, the sticks are supported by a full Letter of Authenticity from music memorabilia experts Tracks, Ltd. (UK).
