This NL Umpire Shirt was personally worn by the late Doug Harvey in 1977. In 2010 Harvey was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Harvey umpired 4673 MLB games from 1962 to 1992, including 5 World Series, 7 All-Star games (notably the 1977 All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium from the season in which he wore this shirt) and a record of 9 NLCS games. Harvey was also the home plate umpire for the infamous Game 1 of the 1988 World Series, in which a hobbled pinch-hitting Kirk Gibson hit his dramatic game-winning walk-off home run to beat the mighty Oakland A's on the Dodgers way to the 1988 World Series Championship! This shirt will came from the "Kendrick Collection," the most extensive Game Used MLB Umpire Collection in the World! Acquired 11/2/77, immediately upon conclusion of the 1977 MLB Season.
