Offered is a swatch of wallpaper taken from The Petersen House. President Abraham Lincoln spent the final hours of his life following the gunshot wound inflicted on him by John Wilkes Booth in the President's Box at Ford's Theater on April 14, 1865. Lincoln and his wife were enjoying a production of Our American Cousin when Booth mortally wounded him. Lincoln died the next day from his wounds at The Petersen House, and Booth's life would come to an end two weeks later at a farm in Virginia. A collectible from one of the most pivotal moments in American history, the swatch concedes wear and cracking.
