After Jim Thome became a member of the elite 600 Home Run Club, his professional model bats became a hot commodity in the hobby. Throughout his career, Thome used a variety of bats including Louisville Slugger, Rawlings/Adirondack, Worth, Mizuno and some brands that came into prominence in the 2000s (such as Marucci).

Offered here is Rawlings Model 491B Jim Thome professional model bat. This bat has been signed on the barrel by Thome in silver felt tip marker. The bat shows excellent signs of use with a repaired handle crack as well as multiple ball marks and stitch impressions on the right and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Also visible are cleat marks to the left and back barrel. The lower handle and knob have been wrapped and taped into a spiral pattern to enhance grip. Light coat of pine tar to the handle. Thome's number, 25, and the model number, 491B, are written on the top barrel in black ink. The bat has been given a labeling period of 2000-2002 and has received a grade of GU 7.

This bat will include a full Letter of Authenticity for game use from PSA/DNA. The affixed MLB Hologram can be used on their website to verify authenticity of the autograph.
