One of the envelopes used in the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Warner Bros. Pictures, 2001). Screen-used in one of the most iconic scenes in the entire movie franchise.
During a scene of the film where Harry Potter's (Daniel Radcliffe) uncle, Vernon Dursley (Richard Griffiths), tries to prevent Harry from seeing his acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the Dursley house becomes overrun with flying envelopes. This prop envelope features a printed wax seal on the reverse side rather than a real wax seal so that it would be light enough to "fly" around the room. On the rear, the Hogwarts crest is depicted. The front of the envelope shows Harry Potter's address at the Dursley residence printed in green.
From the collection of an esteemed Harry Potter collector, who got it from a woman in the production team.
