When you talk about the Brooklyn Dodgers, it's hard not to think about the anchor behind the plate, Roy Campanella. Sadly, due to an accident in 1958, Campanella's career was cut short to only 9 years, with Roy being named an All-Star in 8 of the 9 seasons. Offered here is an original 8" x 10" candid image of a young Roy Campanella sporting his Dodgers uniform and signing autographs for fans, signed by the late Dodger legend in blue felt tip prior to his tragic accident - "Best Wishes, Roy Campanella". A beautiful example of a pre-accident signature. In fine condition with light toning and handling wear. Authenticated & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
