Rare & desirable early 1946 signed & handwritten 8.5" x 5.5" letter from former President John F. Kennedy to Mrs. J. H. Muldoon of the Boston Women's Club. Dated Feb 8th, 1946, Kennedy would be only two months away from announcing his intention to run during the 1946 Congressional race in Massachusetts. Despite being amongst one of the largest Republican nation-wide "sweeps" on electoral positions, Kennedy was successful largely due to his “The New Generation Offers a Leader” motto as a youthful veteran. Part of that success was driven by his immense popularity with woman achieving strong numbers in the woman's vote opposed to incumbent Henry Cabot. This letter serves as a prelude to the savvy future President's understanding of his popularity with woman and the power of their vote. Letter reads in full: "I had a wonderful time Monday night and I am very glad you invited me. I think you formed an exceptional club—and I imagine that you are very proud of its members and the work they are doing. I hope I see you soon again. With warmest regards, Jack Kennedy. February Eighth." Overall in fine condition with minor discoloration & handling wear.
