Following the Green Bay Packers first of five NFL titles won in a seven-season span on December 31st, 1961, the 1962 NFL Pro Bowl would be played on January 14, 1962. As a member of the victorious "Western Conference," Bart Starr would be a key member of the game. As a four time Pro Bowler, conceivably this is one of only four Pro Bowl checks ever issued to the legendary Packer. Offered here is a 1962 Pro Bowl player check issued from the founders of the game, Los Angeles Newspaper Publishers Association Football Charity Fund, to quarter back Bart Starr for the sum of $649.40. Signed/endorsed on the reverse by Bart Starr who cashed the check on the 30th of January.
