One page typed signed letter with terrific content, one page, 8.5" x 11", December 20, 1933. An interesting letter that was penned to a close associate, based on the nature of Patton's writing and grammatical errors one could presume that perhaps his candor within the letter was fueled in part by a few cocktails. Patton discusses a variety of subjects, most notably of his disdain for Democrats and investing in land. In part, "I hope you are not a democrat. I hate all democrats as a class and if you are I will have to make an exception which is always unfortunate...I have read three books on money lately with the result that I now know less about it than I did before and that is saying a lot...one things that my books say is that after an inflation one of the few things worth a damn is land so Nita and myself to a degree should be well off, provided that ye don't lose the land." Handsomely signed at the conclusion in black fountain pen, "G.S.P., Jr.," and in overall fine condition. A great letter with candid personal insight from the military icon! Accompanied by a full Letters of Authenticity from University Archives and PSA/DNA.
