Pulp and science-fiction author (1911–1986) who became a lightning rod for controversy as the founder of the Church of Scientology. Signed letter, one page, personal letterhead, 8" x 7", January 14, 1978. A brief letter of acknowledgement of receipt of a Christmas card from a friend, nicely hand signed "Ron" at the conclusion in ballpoint pen. Nicely matted with a small color photo of Hubbard and housed in a black lacquer frame, measuring 18" x 17" overall. Some light handling wear to the frame, otherwise fine.
