Pershing was a legendary American army officer (1860–1948) who was Commander of the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War I and one of the most celebrated soldiers in American history. Fountain pen signature worthy of grading, “John J. Pershing,” measuring 4" x 1". Excellently matted with an 11 x 14 photo of Pershing with his horse Black Jack, overall size 16 x 20.
