An eerie but significant presidential relic, offered here is an 8.5" x 14" attendees program for the official Texas Welcome Dinner for President Kennedy; an event which was to take place on the evening of November 22, 1963. Sadly, as fate would have it, Kennedy would be assassinated in the afternoon just hours prior to the dinner, changing the course of history and sending the nation into disarray. The program lists guest speakers for the event and featuring small black and white images of President Kennedy, Vice President Johnson, and Texas Governor John Connally. The program has been well preserved and aside from some minor toning, stands in very fine condition.
