Known as "The Flag Raising at Ground Zero", photographer Thomas E. Franklin captured what is known so far as the most historically significant image of the 21st Century. Taken at approximately 5:01pm in the evening of the 9/11 tragedy, Franklin's image encapsulated a defining moment of hope and patriotism that will live on indefinitely.
Offered here is an 11" x 14" color glossy photo of Franklin's historic image, beautifully hand signed and inscribed "9/11/01" by the famed photographer himself in blue felt tip marker. Obtained from an exclusive private signing conducted with Franklin earlier this year, accompanying the photograph is a photo taken at the time of the signing, and a COA from the company that conducted the event.
This particular photo is handsomely matted in a custom American Flag matted ensemble and housed in a tasteful black executive style frame display.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this lot will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
