Space travel pioneer Buzz Aldrin has signed this 1969 LIFE Magazine “To the Moon and Back” special edition. On the front cover, Aldrin has signed in black marker "10” . On the inside portion of the front cover, printed text details man’s first-ever step on the moon with “Neil Armstrong’s booted foot” introducing the account. Apparently, Aldrin took exception and “debated” the story by crossing out “Neil Armstrong’s” and inscribing “Buzz Aldrin’s.” On the following page, another Aldrin signature projects (“10”) strength.
