Note reads in full "OCT. 95 Ireland, Best wish to Cliff, have enclosed a pick + I only ever broke 1 bass string in my career! Good luck with the Bass Ball, Noel Redding." Along with the note comes the used "Jim Dunlop" pick & mailing envelope which is also signed by Redding, reading on the back "My hero was Eddie Coch(/)ran, N.R."
