Don Mattingly has hand-signed this authentic New York Yankees road, size 48, Diamond Collection jersey made by Russell Athletic. It's autographed in bold blue Sharpie on the front.
Mattingly has put a total of nine inscriptions in total. The inscriptions read as follows:
INSCRIPTIONS INCLUDE: "The Hit Man", "6X A.L.A.S." (6-time American League All-Star),"The Captain" "91-95" (Years Mattingly was Captain),"Donnie Baseball", "9 Gold Gloves", "84 A.L. Batting Champ", "85 A.L. M.V.P.", "6 Grand Slams in a Season" (An incredible record).
As evidenced in the photos, there is some minor bleeding by a few of the inscriptions which happened as Don was signing, otherwise the jersey is in excellent, like new condition.
The jersey has the two best forms of provenance. UNQUESTIONABLE authenticity with a certificate from Steiner Sports AND a hologram from Major League Baseball.
