Interesting typed signed letter on official San Francisco Giants letterhead, April 27, 1962. Responding to a prior request in which a fan asks Stoneham if he could send him a Christy Mathewson autograph from the Giants archive. Stoneham responds that he doesn't have any more autograph on Mathewson, and directs the fan to contact Mrs. Mathewson he states that she provides autographs torn from old bank checks she saved that were signed by her husband. Signed at the conclusion by Stoneham in fountain pen and in fine condition.
