Here is a rare combination: a contract and professional license attributed to the great Joe Louis. The one-page contract dated March 18, 1950 is for an exhibition match between Joe Louis and Ray Augustus. The bold ink signature of Louis at the bottom was signed by his manager Marshall Miles, an elusive hobby signature of its own. This contract is accompanied by a four-page foldout style license for the year 10/3/49-50 in Texas. This has been boldly signed by Joe Louis himself and includes his fingerprint. Minor edge and surface wear. Very few contracts and licenses ever appear for fighters from this era, much less Joe Louis. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
