Highly uncommon signed 8" x 10" Enola Gay photo by Dutch Van Kirk in blue felt tip marker adding a great inscription regarding one of the most important days in World combat history, the first atomic bomb dropping. Signature & inscription read in full, “We dropped the Atomic Bomb at 0915 AM Tinian time. Then 43 seconds 1800 feet above the city of Hiroshima. The city was devastated from that day & a second bomb later the war ended & the fighting was stopped. was destroyed. The number of killed and missing was 80,000. Unfortunately in modern warfare you cannot separate civilian and military targets. ‘Dutch’ Van Kirk, Navigator, Enola Gay. Hiroshima, 6 Aug 1945.” Overall in near-mint condition.
