Rare signed letter by Robert Stroud "Birdman of Alcatraz" adding “Bob, Robert Stroud #594,” and once at the top in the return address area, “Robert Stroud,” one page both sides, 8" x 10.25," August 12, 1948. A very interesting letter written to a magazine publisher named Fred E. Davis. Content goes deep into advance biology at the time including the dissection of chromosomes along with their mutation. Intersecting folds, light toning, and a few trivial areas of spotting, otherwise fine condition. Matted to an overall size of 14" x 18." Pre-certified PSA/DNA with a prior auction house.
