Offered here is a stunning 5.5" x 3.5" postmarked 1934 Government Post Card signed by twenty members of the 1934 New York Yankees including a stunning duo of Lou Gehrig & Babe Ruth towards the center of the card. Other signatures in graphite pencil include: Gomez, Combs, Grimes, Ruffing, Dickey, Crosetti,Van Atta, Chapman, Jorgens, DeShong, Allen, MacFayden, Rolfe, Broaca, Saltzgaver, Heffner, Hoag, and Murphy. The GPC is postmarked "July 23rd 1934," the Yankees began a three-game series with the St. Louis Browns on that date, with Gehrig hitting a solo home run in yet again another Yankee victory. A seldom seen relic from Ruth's final season in pinstripes and the end to what was a very fruitful era for the Yanks. Overall in fine condition with toning & adhesive residue/surface paper loss to the reverse of the card not impacting the signatures. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
