Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 11.75 x 14.5, July 3rd, 1816. President Monroe grants 40 acres of land in the Northwest Territory to William Henderson in pursuance of an Act of the Congress of the United States passed on the 10th day of August, in the year 1790. Signed at the conclusion by Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. Intersecting folds and some scattered light toning, otherwise fine condition. The white wafer seal is lightly toned, but crisp and intact.
