A now-historic piece of presidential memorabilia that highlights one of the fine fighting points of the 2012 presidential campaign, presented here for your bidding pleasure is the Sesame Street book entitled "Hip Hip Hooray for Dot-to-Dot mazes and more." Front and center on the cover of the book is none other than Big Bird. Big Bird, of course, became a focal point of the campaign when Republican candidate Mitt Romney declared that he would cut government subsidies to PBS, thus potentially threatening the future of Big Bird and Sesame Street.
On October 17, 2012, just days after making the controversial comments, President Obama was approached and asked to sign at a campaign rally in Athens, OH. Agreeing to sign the book, the President apparently expressed his passion for his "Pro Big Bird" position, adding "Yes we can!" along with his autograph.
Some light bubbling is present in the autograph and inscription as a result of the book's high gloss surface, otherwise the piece is in fine condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
