Offered here is a rare signed letter on personal letterhead from Audie Murphy, one of the most decorated veterans of World War II. This letter is in response to a letter written to Murphy about his book "To Hell and Back" (later optioned into a movie, which Murphy starred in as himself). The letter reads, in full, "Dear Mrs. Ownes (sic): Thank you for your letter and your comments on "To Hell and Back." I am most appreciative of your thoughtfulness in taking the time to write, and I value your letter. It is one of the nicest I have ever received on the book. My best wishes to you and your two sons." It is signed nicely in black ballpoint pen at the bottom. In fine condition save for slight paper loss to the top right corner. Accompanied by full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
