Using his long frame and slingshot delivery, Walter Johnson turned a normal baseball into the fastest moving object on a diamond. For the better part of his career, Johnson handcuffed opposing batters on a regular basis. During his prime (1910-1925) Johnson won 20 or more games 12 times, twice posting seasons of 33 and 36 wins. Offered is a very desirable vintage ink signature, "Walter Johnson", penned by the pitching legend on a 2" x 4" slip. Moderate uniform toning to the slip, with signature rating a respectable "7" overall. Johnson stands as one of the scarcest autographs in baseball! Authenticated and encapsulated by James Spence Authentication (JSA).
