Offered here is a 2-page (double-sided) letter dated August 4, 1882 to a Mr. [Stephen] Elkins regarding a real estate transaction: "Mr. Randall came in again last evening after another talk with the Commodore, to say that if the party wishing to treat for his Balt. property would come forward frankly that he would deal with them more favorably than if there was dickering attempted. He advised that whoever came should consult with me before going to the Commodore..." Docketed in an unknown hand and with soiling along the edge. Some ink transfer to reverse sides. In overall fine condition. Authenticated & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
