2002 was a Cinderella season for Carson Palmer. After spending his first three seasons virtually unnoticed, Palmer exploded into superstardom under the guidance of new offensive coordinator Norm Chow (brought in by coach Pete Carroll before the 2002 season) and a revamped offensive scheme which saw Palmer throw for 3,942 yards with 33 TD's and only 10 interceptions. Palmer's command of the USC offense was so impressive that college football's prestigious Heisman committee bestowed the quarterback with the game's most prestigious honor: the 2002 Heisman Trophy. Presented here is a Nike official USC Trojans #3 jersey (size 48) worn by Palmer during his memorable 2002 season. The jersey features screened on numbers and sleeve stripes, and the jersey itself shows slight fraying from usage. The right sleeve is cut to fit Palmer's build. The Nike swoosh is on the front-left breast. Palmer has nicely signed across the rear number in black sharpie, "Carson Palmer, Heisman 02." Accompanied with full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
